Nexpace NXPC
the token that puts a 23-year-old game on the chain
🎭 a mushroom-cap spirit who guards your loot and hands you the deed to it
💬 “For 23 years you grinded for that hat and it was never really yours, it lived on someone else's server. I hand you the receipt. Now the hat is an item you can hold, sell, or melt back into coins.”
- What: the token behind MapleStory N, an on-chain version of Nexon's classic MapleStory game.
- Why it matters: your in-game items become NFTs you actually own, not data trapped in a publisher's account.
- Two tokens: NXPC is the main coin; NESO is the in-game money, and NESO can only be made by converting NXPC.
- Supply: fixed at 1 billion NXPC, with new coins released on a slowing, halving-style schedule.
📖 The Story
August 27, 2024. Nexon, the game giant behind MapleStory, pulled the wraps off something unusual for a 23-year-old franchise: a plan to move it onto a blockchain. The token was called NXPC, and the project came out of NEXPACE Limited, Nexon's blockchain arm based in Abu Dhabi.
The pitch answered an old, quiet frustration. For decades, the rare hat you ground a hundred hours for never truly belonged to you. It lived on the publisher's server, tied to an account the company controlled. If they shut the game down, your loot vanished with it. The Maple Spirit's whole job is to flip that around, to turn the item into something you hold yourself.
May 15, 2025. The on-chain game, MapleStory N, went live alongside the NXPC token. On the very same day, seven big exchanges listed it at once, Binance, Bybit, Bitget, Bithumb, Gate.io, KuCoin, and Upbit. That is a loud entrance for a gaming coin, and it leaned hard on a name millions of players already knew.
Since then the project has kept feeding the world it built: a $50 million ecosystem fund to back games and tools on top of MapleStory Universe, and a quarterly program that burns NXPC to trim the supply over time.
📊 Stats
🧩 How it works
The clever part is a loop the team calls Fission and Fusion. To create a bundle of item NFTs, you burn some NXPC (Fission). To go the other way, you melt item NFTs back into NXPC (Fusion). So items and the coin trade places, and demand on one side tugs on the other in real time.
NXPC and NESO split the work. NXPC is the main token, used for trading, fees, and governance votes. NESO is the everyday coin you spend inside the game, and it can only be minted by converting NXPC, so its supply is always backed by NXPC like a reserve. Under the hood the game runs on Henesys, NEXPACE's own Avalanche Layer-1, with a gasless setup so players pay no gas fees.
🌗 Light & Shadow
- A rare web3 coin attached to a genuine AAA game with 23 years of players, not a brand-new world built from zero
- Real in-game use: the token is woven into trading items and the Fission/Fusion loop, so it does a job beyond being traded
- Fixed 1 billion cap, a slowing emission schedule, and a quarterly burn program all push against endless inflation
- Very young. The game and token only went live in May 2025, so there is little long-run track record to judge
- One company, one game. The token's fate is tightly bound to Nexon's choices and to MapleStory N staying popular
- Allocation leans heavily on rewards (about 80% to contributor/contribution rewards), so unlocks and reward flows can press on the price
- Web3 gaming as a whole has a thin record of keeping players, and many past game tokens faded fast
🧬 Evolution lineage
Nexpace is not a fork or sibling of another coin. Its lineage runs by ecosystem: it is a child of Nexon's MapleStory IP, built on the Avalanche family as its own Henesys Layer-1, with a bridge over to BNB Chain. Its closest cousins are other big-IP web3 gaming tokens.

❓ FAQ
- What is Nexpace (NXPC)?
- NXPC is the token that powers MapleStory N, an on-chain version of Nexon's MapleStory game. It lets players own and trade their in-game items as NFTs instead of having them locked to a publisher account.
- What is the difference between NXPC and NESO?
- NXPC is the main token used for fees, trading, and governance votes. NESO is the everyday in-game currency. NESO can only be created by converting NXPC, so the supply of NESO is backed by NXPC, a bit like a reserve.
- How many NXPC are there?
- The supply is fixed at 1 billion NXPC and can never go higher. New coins are released in cycles, and each cycle hands out less than the one before, a slowing schedule similar in spirit to Bitcoin's halving.
- Where can I buy NXPC?
- It launched on May 15, 2025 and was listed the same day on several large exchanges, including Binance, Bybit, Bitget, Bithumb, Gate.io, KuCoin, and Upbit. (Information only, not an exchange or investment recommendation.)
