altrookie is a beginner's "codex" for people meeting crypto for the first time. Here we lay out, with nothing hidden, how we write, what we verify, and — just as importantly — what we do not promise. We believe trust comes from honesty, not from flashy claims.

Everything on altrookie is for information and education only. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell any particular coin, and we do not guarantee any returns. Crypto prices swing wildly, and you can lose your entire stake. Whether or not to put real money in is a decision only you can make, on your own judgment and at your own risk. For major decisions, we encourage you to consult a qualified professional.

2. Sources and facts come first

We start from information that is already public — not from rumor. That means a project's official documents (white papers and blogs), public code repositories, reporting from established institutions and outlets, and the records written permanently onto the blockchain itself. We try not to draw conclusions from a single source; wherever possible we cross-reference several before we write.

Then we rewrite the difficult jargon into the everyday language a beginner can follow. We work hard not to lose accuracy while simplifying, but we are human and we can make mistakes — which is exactly why section 5, our corrections policy, exists.

And to be honest about who we are: altrookie is not a giant newsroom or a corps of famous analysts. We are a small editorial team that reads and organizes public material steadily. Our strength is not secret information — it is explaining things again, at a beginner's eye level.

3. We protect beginners first

This is the most important principle on the site. We put honestly warning about risk ahead of telling a story that sounds exciting.

• We clearly warn about the traps beginners fall into most often: rug pulls (where the creators take the money and disappear), scams, exaggerated promises of profit, and "this can only go up" talk.
• If something is highly volatile or unverified, we say it is risky in plain words — even when it looks attractive.
• We avoid pressure phrases like "buy now or miss out." We encourage going slowly, and only as far as you actually understand.

4. Coverage is independent

A coin appearing in this codex is not an endorsement or a guarantee, and no project pays us to be written about favorably or to be included. When we point to outside sites — official pages, block explorers, data sources, or places to trade — that is general information to help you look further, not a recommendation to buy, sell, or use any particular service. We try to stay on the reader's side.

5. When we are wrong, we fix it — corrections policy

We are not perfect, and crypto is a field where information changes fast. When we find something that is factually wrong, we verify and correct it as quickly as we can. For corrections that meaningfully change the meaning, our policy is not to quietly edit but to be open about what changed and why.

If you spot an error, a confusing explanation, or a risk we left out, please tell us. Reader reports are the single biggest force making this codex more accurate.
